Rating the signings.

Permanant Signings

Michael Theoklitos: The less said about Theoklitos the better. One game conceded seven, and at fault for at least five of them. Not your best GUNNY. MISS

Matthew Gill: Signed only because of his uncanny resemblance to Sammy Clingan, unfortunately his footballing ability is below that of the great Clingan. However, Gill has been unlucky with injuries, so has not really had enough of an oppurtunity to make his mark. UNDECIDED

Michael Nelson: On the face of it Nelson is a slightly less talented version of Malky Mackay, which is worrying. But I think Nelse was a brilliant signing at this level, and just the sort of player we need. Plus any centre-half who scores a bycycle kick deserves praise. HIT

Owain Tudor-Jones: Like Gill OTJ has been very unlucky with injuries, and so I cannot make a measured judgement. Although both Swindon Town and Swansea rated the Welshmen very highly. UNDECIDED

Stephen Hughes: Hughes has looked a class apart in midfield this season. Composed, classy and accurate with his distrubution. The sort of player we have been missing for ages. HIT

Grant Holt: The Grolt is already being mentioned in the same breath as Iwan Roberts. Already a legend and has banged in an incredible 20 goals before the turn of the year. HIT

Simon Whaley: Looked dangerous in friendlys, but Lambert clearly does not fancy him. Been loaned out to Rochdale and Bradford already. Expect him to be gone in January. MISS

Paul Mcveigh: Although strangely absent on the pitch this year. 'Squiz' is a huge charachter and does a lot for the club behind the scenes. Still a legend. HIT

Rhoys Wiggins: Looked solid at Paulton Rovers, although due to Adam 'Mr Consistant' Drury being so, well consistent Rhoys has not had a look in. UNDECIDED

Jens Berthel-Askou: Has been a rock at the back this season. JBA will head anything that comes within a 2 yard perimeter of his head. HIT

Goran Maric: Released by Lambert without a start or a goal. MISS

Loan Signings
Fraser Forster: Recovered well after Jermaine Beckfordgate, any 'keeper attracting attention from Spurs and Arsenal must be doing something right. HIT

Russell Martin: Has slotted in at right-back with ease, and has produced a solid display at centre-half. Sign him up Lambo. HIT

Anthony McNamee: Cameo's have shown he is dangerous, and can offer something different in midfield. Although not enough starts to give a measured judgement. UNDECIDED
