Crisis? What crisis? Two late Oli Johnson goals have led me to wondering what all the panic over the defeat at home to Southampton was all about. Johnson came on to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against Southend with two goals in the last twelve minutes, the winner in the 94th minute. Take that traffic dodgers.
Fair enough, I accept Norwich’s performances have been a bit disjointed recently. They have been a far cry from the recent form which had lead to us dispatching teams with ease at Carrow Road, but no team (not even Brazil) can play beautiful one touch football and win 4 or 5 nil every week, there are times when even the best teams lose games or need to grind out results. Through nothing but sheer determination, heart and in many cases a huge stroke of luck.
It is no coincidence teams at the top of the league seem to score late goals every week, and Norwich City are no different. Such is the new found confidence bread by Lambo, we now expect to win and do not give up until we do. Teams top of the league recognise there are 90 minutes in a game and it only takes a second to score a goal.
As for Saturday’s game, every team has a blip, and Southampton are a very good team. The game may have been different had Rusty not been sent off for breathing on an opponent. So there is definitely no reason to panic. KICK IT OFF...
